"I wasted six years of my life with Jim Iyke"- ex GF Keturah Hamilton laments

Jim Iyke's sad and heartbroken Jamaican ex-fiancee Keturah Hamilton tells Diasporan Star:
"These days, I ask God: Why has thou forsaken me? How can a man with whom we had gone through the highs and the lows – a man who had professed so much undying love for me over the past six years just walk away like that? I don’t know what happened and I wish I could put a finger on it. He took away six years of memories, of support of love and all that I did for him – just like that. How mean and callous can one get?
Jim was supposed to come to New York and stay for six months, during which time, he would go to an acting school here in New York and then we would move to Los Angeles and get married and pursue our acting dreams. I was looking forward to that with eagerness and then he just walked away” she began to sob according to Diasporan Star

Asked what could have been the reason for such a change of heart, Keturah said “we had problems like normal lovers do, but we always resolved them amicably. I know there was something Jim asked me to do, which I didn’t want to do right away, but that should not have made him to do what he did.” Pressed to reveal what it was that Jim wanted him to do, she said it was personal.

Keturah said she feels used and dumped “I played along in the reality show as if I truly was a jealous and crazy lover. It was an act, but now I feel as if Jim set me up. He is a wicked man. I stood by him through all his troubles and tribulations. I helped bring him to the limelight when the light of his career was dimming. He is an ingrate and I leave him to God.”

One area that seems to have pained Keturah more appears to be the rumor making the rounds that Jim left her for the Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari. “That is the rumor I have heard and I know it is not just
a rumor. They have been hooking up in Ghana. They were together at Tuface’s wedding and appear to be everywhere together. I just can’t believe Jim would be this ungrateful – after all I have done for
him. I have not been able to accept this and I am truly in a state of shock. If Jim could treat me the way he did, after six years of being there for him, supporting him, encouraging him in all that he did, then I wish Nadia the best of luck.”

Jim according to sources is living in Nadia’s house in Ghana and is constantly seen driving her car on the streets of Accrathe Ghanaian capital. He is said to have told friends he and Nadia are mere friends, but most people find that difficult to believe.

Meanwhile, Keturah appears to have moved on with her life. “I am a strong woman and I am moving ahead with my life. God cannot give you that which He will not provide you the platform to stand and deal with. I wish the best in his life.”

Video & pics: Tonto Dikeh falls on stage at Iyanya's concert last night

I'm not going to assume and say she was drunk when she came on stage to perform at the Kukere concert in London last night, but she definitely behaved odd. She said something about not wanting to wave because her armpit wasn't shaved and kept mouthing off until she fell.

They had to help her off the stage. #Pokothingz! Hehe. Watch the video after the cut...

UNIBEN student killing: DPO denies firing shot that killed student

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ogida station, CSP Carol Afegbai, has denied firing the shot that killed alleged final year student of University of Benin, Ibrahim Momodu, on May 27th during a stop and search in Benin. (If you missed the story, read it HERE)

According to the Edo State Police PRO, a Russian made double barrel gun with eight rounds of cartridges, two loaded in the gun, were found on Ibrahim (pictured above). Ibrahim's family and friends are protesting his death, denying claims he was an armed robber. Ibrahim was shot on the 27th of May and buried the next day by the police without his family being informed.

According to CSP's Carol's husband, her orderly PC Amadi Idahosa shot and killed Ibrahim when the deceased allegedly tried to reach into his bag to pull out his weapon and harm the corporal who was conducting the stop and search along Siloku road by Obayuwana junction, Benin that Monday night.

The Governor of Edo State, Governor Adams Oshiomhole and the Inspector General of Police, have ordered probe into the case to unravel the real circumstances that led to the killing.

War in Enugu Catholic Church

Uneasy calm reigns in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ogugu in Awgu Catholic Diocese, Enugu State, following an attack on worshipers by some youths during an evening programme held as part of this year’s Easter celebrations.

The parishioners had been working hard to rehabilitate the Church that was recently handed back to the Catholic Church by the Governor Sullivan Chime administration before all hell was let loose by the dissident youth allegedly sponsored by three prominent members of the community.

The youths who allegedly refused to acknowledge the leadership of the town union, Ogugu Progressive General Assembly (OPGA), were said to have placed the town under siege for some months.

“They have organized themselves to ensure there is no peace and have frustrated several attempts to install a new traditional ruler since the last one died in the 2000”, said a source.

Narrating the ordeal of the church to journalists, the parish priest Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Anugwuo, stated that the attack was because the church had remained on the part of truth. He said: “What we do is to preach peace. That’s why they see us as an enemy.”

The St. Mary Primary School, which also houses the Catholic Church, was recently returned to the church by the state government. The priest alleged that some prominent members of the community sponsored the youth who he said, have issues with the church over the time they play football in the field located inside the church premises.

“We don’t want people to play ball in the field at all times especially when we are having our church services in the morning, but they always insist that it is the community field.”

He recalled that the face-off with the youths started on March 31, which was Easter Sunday, when the youths disrupted the church programme. “That evening, they invaded the premises and disrupted the evening programme of the church and vowed to return the next day

“The following day, Monday, they stormed the premises again with masquerades, machetes, and threatened tol kill me. They said I can’t stop them from playing football in their community field. They started attacking our church members wounding so many in the process.

“We later rep orted to the DPO at the Owelli Police Station but the DPO was supporting the youth that they should be allowed to use the field so we went to the Area Police Command who sent his men to the town and invited both parties.

“On April 18 when we were to report at the Area Command Oji, they wrote a petition to the Commissioner of Police who ordered that the invitation to Oji should not be honoured. That day they blocked the entrance to the premises and held us hostage; we didn’t leave here till night. The CP later invited us to Enugu.

“Not satisfied with the police in the state we reported the matter to the Zone-9 in Umuahia: the AIG invited us and urged us to make peace. But on our way returning to the community we got news that fighting had resumed at the premises.

“It was on that day, May 2nd that they destroyed the altar, broke the crucifix, the sacrament, 14 Stations of the Cross, chairs; they also removed the church sign post. The chapel was also damaged, the bishop seat, altar cloth were also destroyed.

“What they do now is to take on individuals; church women are being flogged anywhere they are found within the community.

“They decided to desecrate the house of God; some of them said there is no God; they are fighting the church because we tell them the truth; they want to silence the church and have their way.”

Corroborating Rev. Fr. Anugwuo’s story, the president of the Catholic Women Organization (CWO), Lady Eunice Uchemue, noted that since the parsonage was completed, the dissident youths had always warned that no priest would live there permanently.

She recalled that the 14 Stations of the Cross destroyed were brought by some of the women way back in 1971.

“We were 18 of us who went on a carol to raise money with which they were bought. That altar they destroyed was bought in 2006 at the cost of N329, 000. It’s surprising that they are doing all these because of a field. I have never seen or heard of a thing like this all my life, and they are not showing any remorse. At least eight persons were injured including the choir master”, she said.

An official of the town union, Comrade Orji Simon, who spoke to journalists, explained that not all the youths of the community were involved in the despicable act. According to him, some idle ones who allowed themselves to be used by their sponsors carried out the attack.

He condemned the act in its entirety, and assured that the Ogugu Progressive General Assembly would do everything within its powers to bring the culprits to book.
