Spotlight On Nollywood: Van Vicker

                                                                                In celebration of Ghanaian Independence Day earlier this week, we present to you: Joseph Van Vicker, more popularly known simply as Van Vicker. He is one of Ghana’s most celebrated actors and a popular name across the continent. He was born to a Dutch father and a Ghanaian/ Liberian mother and is married to Ajdoa Van Vicker with whom he has two daughters and a son.
Van Vicker actually started out as a radio personality but started acting professionally in 2003 when he appeared in the Ghanaian television series, Suncity, which depicted university life. He was featured in his first film Divine Love in 2004 in a supporting role alongside Jackie Appiah and Majid Michel.
Van Vicker has since branched out into other aspects of film which include producing and directing. Joni Waka is the latest film and fifth film that he has directed. He also runs Sky+ Orange, a company that deals with film production, advertising and events management.Van Vicker (© Facebook)
