Banks Close Doors To Customers Over Robbery Attack On Diamond and Access Banks In FESTAC

Banks in the FESTAC/Mile Two areas of Lagos have shut their doors against their customers following the robbery incident that took place in the FESTAC branch of Diamond and Access banks.

Daily Independent reports that a visit to banks in the area observed that all the banks, including the only First Bank of Nigeria Plc in the ever-busy Mile Two has shut its doors against its customers no thanks to the robbery incident that occurred early Tuesday October 13 morning.

Media reports say the heavily armed robbers, dressed in camouflage came in via the canal in speed boats. They were reported to have blown the doors of the affected banks before carting away an unspecified amount of money, at the same time shooting with reckless abandon.

As of now we don't know if there are any fatalities
