The Imo state Government, has terminated Global Ginikana Services Limited's contract with Imo Transport Company Ltd, Which was awarded to them by the Gov Rochas Okorocha Admin on Noveber 4 2011.
Workers of Imo Transport Company (ITC) have alleged large-scale looting of the company's property by the management of the lessee,
Global Ginikana services Ltd, and lack of salary payment for period of 8 consecutive months making life hard for ITC workers.
Officially Emeka Duru, MD Global Ginikana Services Limited, who was MD of ITC until 20th October 2015 when his company's contract was terminated due to mismanagement of funds has nothing to do with Imo Transport Company Management any more.
Mr Ekwunugo (Head of Monitoring Unit) who was initially sent on compulsory leave has been called back and already resume duty, ready to work with the new General manger Ozuomee.
Meanwhile Mr Promise Ike the current manager of ITC Loading terminal Umuahia in an interview with Gossip Boiz said every ITC Staffs both Drivers and operational staffs are happy with the government and the whole ITC managedment and he went on to congratulate Ozuomee and Mr Ekwunugo whom has always been his man from back in the days (his words)
Will ITC come back to what it use to be? who knows? lol
