Veteran Nigerian actor Justus Esiri will finally be laid to rest following many moving tributes from colleagues in the film and television industry as well as from loved ones in the weeks following his death on 17 February 2013. Esiri's funeral will take place April 12, 2013 in his home town, Abraka, Delta State. This follows a tribute night held for the actor at the O’Jez open-space bar at the National Stadium, Lagos. The event was attended by the actor's son Dr. Sid, as well as other Nollywood stars including Ini Edo, Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw, Ernest Obi, Joke Silver, Julius Agwu, and more.
