Social networks and the blogosphere in West Africa were buzzing this week when Ghanaian actor Leo Mensah stirred up controversy after claiming that his countrymen are more attractive than actors from neighbouring Nigeria. According to widespread reports Mensah compared himself to Nollywood heartthrobs such as Jim Iyke and Ramsey Nouah and believed the Nigerian actors came in second best. Fans on both sides of the rivalry have taken up the debate.
